I have literally checked with every store in this area and
absolutely NOBODY carries sock rings. I really thought that a
couple of the stores like Bed, Bath&Beyond or Linens n'Things
would have them and they truly shocked me when they said they
did not have them.

I've been both using and looking for a source of Sock Locks for many years. It's a
pain to be trying to scavenge any still existing Sock Locks around the house just to be
able to put my socks in the wash. Obviously, I like Sock Locks. It is such a pleasure to
know that I have found your site. I have a new use for Sock Locks that helped us. Some
people like to use cloth napkins, one for each person, at the dinner table instead of
paper, and they use them, say, a week or a few days at a time. My wife wanted to do this
to avoid using paper napkins, for ecology's sake - save the trees and all that. Also,
cloth is nicer. Well, when you use cloth napkins, it is nice to be using all the same
color napkins at the table. But how do you tell them apart? After all, the last thing you
want is to be using someone else's nasty napkin. So what we do is, attach one color of
Sock Lock to the top corner of each chair with a string, as a reminder. Then pull the same
color Sock Lock onto the corner of that person's napkin. Easy to tell them apart with no
mix-ups. My color was white, my wife's yellow, and each of the two kids - red and blue.
With your six colors, you can handle a family of six with no difficulty. Also, if you want
to get really neat about it, after meals you can attach the napkin to that chair's Sock
Lock to dry the napkin and keep it off the table. This system (which I made up) worked
fine for us. Jim DeMian Columbia, MO

My father stumbled on to these sock-locks back in 1973 and bought a 1/2 truck load.
We used to pass them out at steel making conventions. Maybe I might of been the one that
gave you your first sock lock. I sell cars at a dealership in Merrillville Indiana(not
chevy), I want to give them away to my customers. I could probably find out from my father
where he bought them. I would like a picture to see if this is the same unit , please let
me know. Thanks Jeff Collins!

My wife loves your sock locks. I travel & carry them with me. When I return they
are all ready to go in the washer & dryer and she never has to match socks. I had
aquired the first ones through a friend's mother & had a hard time finding more. I
used a Google search for sock rings and came up with your site. Thanks.

My husband has been using socks locks for years. Then about 3 years ago he needed
some more, and we found them in a sock shop at Myrtle Beach. A friend who was with us also
bought his first set. Now my husband and our friend need more. We have searched
everywhere. I finally found your site after several other Internet searches. You'll
definitely be getting an order from us. Thanks.

Can you tell me what page you were on where you found the missing buttons? Our order
form is on http://www.sock-locks.com/buy.htm. To order online you must pay through paypal.
Otherwise you can print the order form and send with a check or money order. As far as a
distributor ship goes, send an email to largeorder@sock-locks.com to receive an email
order form with shipping costs and reduced prices for large quantities. I'd be happy to
discuss this further with you.

Your website is incomplete and works poorly. Missing buttons. Need a button for
order complete, how to pay, how to ship. My wife Kay Younger odered SockLocks in Late
December and we still have not received them. Is there a problem? I am in retail sales and
would be interested in a distributorship for SE Michigan, because no one has these for
sale in stores. I could help fix that.

I have been searching for sock locks for years, ever since I got a few as gifts from
a friend. My husband "claimed them" and I never got to use them on my own socks
but at least had the pleasure of not having to deal with his socks-you know men's socks,
shades of black, blue, etc. My husband has become so attached to them that he has tried
glueing the old ones that eventually broke or has tried to make them himself. I am soooo
happy to have found this website, care of a friend that has heard me ask everyone if they
have heard about them. They are wonderful. It is amazing that what appears to be such a
mundane product could evoke such a happy response in anyone who uses them.

As a kid in the early sixties, my best friend at that time had a mom who knew about
Sock Locks. I thought it was a pretty cool idea. When I went away to college, streamlining
the chore of laundering, specifically minimizing my involvement in it, was an important
priority. So that's when I made my first investment in Sock Locks (or Sox Lox as I thought
they were called). The ones I use now are wearing out, and since I can't find them in any
of the local big box stores, this is great outlet for them. You never know what you can
get from the internet until you look!

Wonders never cease. I'm working out at the gym today and dutifully pulling out my
socks. which at my wife's insistance are linked by these things for which I have never
known the name. Lo and behold this guy who is changing in a locker down the hall raises
his hand with a sock lock in his hand and says his wife demands their use also. He tells
me that there is actually a website which sells these things. So as soon as I get home
from the office I check it out. I couldn't dare do this at work where as a an executive of
a financial firm I wouldn't run the risk of being caught with this weird device on the
screen. Anyway back to the gym, my buddy and I agree that the use of sock locks is a sure
sign of "analness" but that we couldn't do without them (our wives are another
story). But you better watch it. My daughter, an advertising hotshot is thinking of
becoming an entrepreneur and if you don't start selling the thick sock locks separately, I
am going to encourage her to focus on the "thick sock" market.

I have been a long time user as well (probably over 20 years). I grew up in a family
of 5 boys and my parents had them for us to use (each had his own color). I've continued
using sock locks and now am running low. I have six children and they are using safety
pins to attache the socks together. I'm ordering a mess of packages as an underground
tactic to see if I can get the kids to switch. (They make fun of my sock locks...) I think
when they see how easy they are to use, and when they discover they don't have to do
anything when the socks come out of the dryer (such as remove safety pins and fold the
socks together), they'll be sold.

I am so glad I found sock locks again. I grew up in a family of eight people and my
mother used sock locks to save sock sorting time. Each of us had a different color. It
made laundry easy. I found them once in a store when I first got married but since we have
two children, I had to find more. Needless to say, I could not find them anywhere in
stores. I also carried an example to ask store clerks. I finally typed in sock sorters on
the Internet and my husband were both surprised that we found them again as easy as that.
Thank you so much for thinking about the sock lock fan club across the country. You have
saved my life while doing family laundry. Therese

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!! I finally found you!! I've been looking for these sock-locks for
years. Here's my true story: I remember that when I was a child I saw one of those rings
somewhere in a drawer, and wondered what it was for. More than 20 years later, while
reading a web page, the author mentioned them and described them (then I had a
flashback)... and until then I knew what it was for, and since that moment I was looking
for them, because I NEED THEM. So my search began, needless to say, I was quickly
frustrated because they were simply not available anywhere. Today, I found this glorious
website, more than 22 years after my first encounter with this gadget. By the way: when
were the sock-locks invented? Thank you very, very, very much!! Regards.

Hi, Hooray! I found your web site for Socks Locks!!! I found them once on one of those
small-sized gift catalogs about twenty years ago, and I liked them so much I gave some
away to my friends. I later regretted that (only a little) when I wanted more and couldn't
find a source for Sock Locks. I've been looking for them for about ten years or more, and
didn't even know they now come in colors. I'd always thought that'd be a good addition.
Good for you! I had almost given up hope of finding them, mumbling to myself everytime I
did the wash and had to sort my all socks. Since I'm a single guy, by the time I got
around to doing a load of socks, etc., I had about two or three weeks worth of stuff to
sort. You can imagine how happy I am to be able to obtain more sock locks. Life just got a

families socks. Since I became a mother I have been looking everywhere for sock-locks, but
unable to find them. Thanks for putting them on the internet. "DEATH TO THE SOCK
MONSTER. LONG LIVE SOCK-LOCKS."

Thank you so much for making it easy to find your sock-locks. I have searched the
stores for the last 2 1/2 years. I just decided to take a chance and look on the internet.
You probably have a very good idea what a time save these little gizmos are. We look
forward to getting our shipment as soon as possible. Thanks

I am sooooooo thankful that I decided to look on the internet for sock locks!!! Years
ago I too bought some in a local grocery store. When my husband and I wore ours out, I
began looking for more. Much to my chagrin, I have been unable to locate sock locks
locally or in Houston. I can't believe that these little things are so much help with the
laundry and NO ONE carries them. Thank you for your assistance.

I love them. I must echo the popular sentiment that packs of doubles would be very
handy.

I've been looking for these things for a long time in the various dollar stores, etc.
And I can easily find the single ring variety. These are completely useless; I have plenty
and they are of no use to me at all. What I'm looking for are what you refer to as the
'thick sock' type, i.e. the double rings. Do you sell these separately? I've no
inclination to buy sixteen of the useless kind (of which I have a surplus) in order to get
four pair of the kind I really need. thanks, steve

Thank You, Thank You!!!! I love you already and I don't even know you. I can't wait to
be able to order my new sock locks from you. I may even start a business with these. LOL
My life has been so unorganized since I have been unable to get more of these sock locks.
My husband and I even thought of trying to manufacture these things because we were sure
everyone else had the same problem with socks being lost in the laundry. I was in the same
boat as you were, I had purchased some sock locks either in a Kmart or Walmart years ago
then they disappeared from the market place. I travel some and my husband travels also, we
have looked in almost every city we have been in. Thank you for making them available. GT

Oh my gosh, I can't believe it. We found these over 25 years ago when we were first
married. We didnot know they came in colors. What a small miracle that makes a big
difference. Thanks so much.

plastic "sock locks"? She: no? Me: oh. Hmm, maybe i'll search the 'net for it.
::searching AltaVista:: She: what is a sock lock? Me: Found it! She: are they running away
from home? Me: lol. well, they do in the dryer!

With seven children we have used your sock locks for years. My only wish is that I
could buy a package with only doouble locks. That would be great.

I've used products like this for several years, purchased at large discount chains.
However, I never had a good, reliable supply source. I'm glad I found your page and am
ready able and anxious to purchase product. I wish you had a 'real' order system so that I
could order right now...... !!! Thanx for existing Dr. Don M. Lucas

I have searched for a very long time for sock-locks, but to no avail. Fact is
sock-locks are as important to me as sliced bread! Glad you ran the listing in the Atlanta
Journal Newpaper.

I am so glad that I found your site! When my husband and I married 5 years ago, he
opened my eyes to the wonderful world of sock-locks. We have been using his existing
supply of them since. Our family has expanded several times and we have not been able to
find sock-locks in any of the stores in our area, which is Louisville, KY.

they're still available.

I love my sock-locks. need more

I think your product is great and have been using them since I was in college. As a
single man, they were invaluable. While my wife initially laughed at them, SHE LOVES them,
particularly when she hears hear friends gripe about what a pain it is to sort their
husbands' socks!

Please send me some information about your product....we've had a terrible time finding
these locally any more and are almost out of them.
* * * * * * * * *
My husband LOVES your product! Don't ever stop selling these sock-locks.
* * * * * * * * *
I have been looking for these since forever. I bought these in NYC in the 80's and when
I ran the store I bought them from, stopped buying them. They're great.
* * * * * * * * *
I had used your product years ago, when hubby was in military.. they are perfect for
nylon socks...... after several years of NOT wearing them, he's back to them, and the
washer just eats them!! Thanks for the redesign.... cause we have some thicker socks I'm
anxious to try in the banded double locks.
Note: We can't take the credit for the design, but we appreciate the praise anyway.
